I am so excited to find a Christian knitting podcast.  The language in some of the knitting podcasts that I have found so far had really made me wary of them.  I am looking forward to giving this one a listen.  And will be happily subscribing as soon as you are up and running on iTunes.  Thank you for thinking of this.  Also I love the Knit Together name from Colossians.

Okay. I have actually listened now. The podcast was very nice. Uplifting, fun, informative. I actually know how to pronounce Qiviut now - although I still can't afford it :-). The prayer at the end was a nice touch. I really appreciate that it wasn't filled with foul language or excessive griping about other people. It was a very positive podcast that didn't make me feel that I had wasted 45 minutes of my time. Keep up the good work.
The only improvement that I would recommend is a bit of adjustment in the volumes. Tammy (I think) was much louder than Kate and the music was also much louder than the speaking voices so I did have to adjust the volume a time or two but this is a minor thing. All in all a very nice and uplifting podcast.
When you are doing your podcast on SSK remember that it is the same stitch as SKP (S1 K1 PSSO). I almost always substitute SKP because it is easier for me to do.
I will be mentioning you on my knitting blog later today or tomorrow. Thanks so much for doing this. It is so refreshing to hear someone talk about knitting from a Christian perspective.

Hi Tabitha! Thanks for the feedback and the support! I agree that the volume could use a little work. I'm going to get a better mic for myself to see if that helps. I'm also new to mixing podcasts so hopefully the music will get adjusted too! Thanks for listening!

The problems with the volume were at most minor annoyances.  They will not keep me from listening to episode two.  And you definitely know more about podcasting that I do.  I wouldn't even know where to begin.  I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to find a podcast that I can actually listen to.  I am sure there are those who enjoy snarkiness and vulgarity but I am not one of them.  Your podcast was like a breath of fresh air.  Keep up the good work.
And don't tell me if you get the Wollmeise on the sneak up.  I don't want to know if I miss it yet again. LOL

Kate, I was just wondering today what in the world you've been up to! I was missing your blog, and your Ravelry activity. I wondered, briefly, if you had lost the knitting love. However, I knew that could not possibly be the case. So, this explains it!
The podcast is great! What a wonderful idea. Let me also say, that I think I may have lost consciousness briefly, when I saw my blog name in the show notes. Really. My husband witnessed it. Also, it was wonderful to hear your voice!
Keep up the great work, Kate and Tammy! I'll be tuning in.

I can't wait to mention you again. You were so helpful in getting me started. You are a wonderful friend. I'm so greatful that you were willing to help me!

I just love your music choices. I had flash backs to when I started knitting in college.
Just a question. DO you have a feed for the podcast so I can grab the link and put it into my non-itunes podcast rss catcher? I don't use itunes, but I do use a service called juice.

Thanks! I love some of the peppy Christian music that's out there! :)
Yes you can grab the feed by typing http://www.knittogether.org/podcast/
That should get it for you!

I very much enjoyed your first podcast!, and thank you for the invite to your Ravelry group.  I really appreciate finding a Christian knitting podcast, and will be a regular listener :o)
PS - with the name KnitTogether, how can I not love you!  My blog is of the same name, but referencing the Ps 139:13-14 verse :o)

Thanks so much for a wonderful podcast. It was great fun to listen while on the tredclimer. I have be come a huge fan of Knitting Podcast sense Christmas when I got a MP3 player. Its so nice to find one that is not only fun but uplifting too. Please keep up the good work. I will be praying for you both. I did want to take a minute to tell you about a great book for not only beginners but I think every knitter. I am a knitting teacher and when students ask me what are some great books to start with. My first suggestion is XRX's( the publishers of Knitters magazine) The Knitter's Handbook. This is a little books with a huge wealth of information. One of the reasons I really like this book is because its really small so it easily fits into your knitting bag. In this book it has a key to all the Knit Speak that you find in patterns. It also shows you different cast on's and off's. I like it because it has both written directions, pictures of what its supposed to look like, and graphics. In this little book you can find just about all you need to know about knitting, from how to do cables, fixing a dropped stitch, how much yarn to buy for a sweater, how to take care for your hand knits and much much more. So you might want to check it out.

Thanks, Melanie!  Yes, The Knitter's Handbook is a great resource - thanks for the reminder!  I know I needed a translation dictionary when I first started knitting to make sense of all the jargon.  :-)

I just finished listening to the podcast.  I really enjoyed it and I really like that you are bringing God into it and willing to share that with all of us.  I look forward to hearing the next one which is up already.  Thanks.

To answer the queston in the first segment: I caught the knitting bug before I learned to knit actually. My friend Kate (who was my boss at the time) knit baby blankets for charity. I watched her and was fascinated.
She taught me the basics and I've never been without a project on the needles since. But thankfully, I only used red heart for that first project. I moved up to Lion Brand, and now I cringe at the thought!
I've enjoyed this first episode and look forward to the second.

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
