Tammy and Kate,
I have already mentioned how much I like your podcast. Tonight was excessively stressed for me, but listening to you both have made me feel a little better. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
Thank you so much,
-Beverly

LOL, it's a deal!! I don't have kids, but I've had my share of stuffed animals (and have kept several from my childhood). My thoughts are take very good care of the favorites, so they can still have them when they're adults. As far as organizing, think up! I like the idea of using some netting or hammock type net strung across a corner near the ceiling. You can probably get a small hammock or fishnet from a party store for pretty cheap. Then toss/pile the animals up there - it keeps some of the clutter off the floor.
The other thing, I'm all about decluttering and simplifying, so as the kids get older, maybe you could encourage them to give up some of their toys and take them to a shelter or mission. It's never too early to teach them to have a giving spirit and develop a generous heart!
Good luck, and blessings!
Tammy
Thank you,
Beverly
Also, the sound is noticeably improved on this episode - I think Skype (or whatever) was giving you issues with the past few, because Tammy had definite scratchiness on her end of the line. But yay, it's fixed!
My favorite way to destress is to have a cup of tea. I work full time, have 2 daughters, and we live together with my mom. So my time is filled helping others....and my knitting is a huge stress reliever for me. Sipping a hot cup of earl grey while flipping through a knitting magazine is pretty darn nice.....
Thank you for your words....good reminders to keep on track.....
I love to destress by listening to Contemporary Christian music...and your podcast features some for my favorites. Thanks!
I'm so glad I'm in time to leave a message, I've been meaning to for a while. Your podcast so blesses me because it not only focuses on knitting, but a submissive, counter-cultural view of womanhood and wife-hood. You guys rock! (P.S.: Sorry fo the underlined post, I can't seem to control my computer today!)

Wanted to thank you both for keeping me awake on the way home from work last night! Between the podcast blaring too loud and the air conditioning blasting me in the face I made it home without falling asleep and driving into a ditch! :D
I finally got a chance to listen to your podcast while knitting away furiously on my Ravelympics sweater. Tammy in particular should like this sweater. It is my first sweater design. Thanks again for another fun podcast.

What I love most about your podcast is not the knitting (though it is wonderful to talk the craft with you) but how you characterize yourselves as "normalish" Christians (as if there is such a thing - how can anyone be normal in Christ? You're extraordinary with His strength behind you - Phillipians 4:13, of course!). I've had too many experiences with very overzealous Christians, hypocritical Christians, and many who shunned me for my faith (I am Roman Catholic). Behavior like this not only drew me away from my college's chapter of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship my senior year (I had been a member since freshman year), but from my faith in general.
In times like these I am reminded of a quote from the film Steel Magnolias: "Oh, honey, God don't care which church you go, long as you show up!" And that is true - it doesn't matter how you pray, how you minister, who you minister and witness to - just as long as you do it and spread His word! (By this, I do not wish to infer that the church community is unimportant - the regular schedule of worship and accountability your church family provides is vital to keeping your faith alive!)
You ladies have taken such a simple hobby, "normal" if you will - knitting - and used it to reach out to people all over the world, sharing your faith in a compassionate, loving way - far from overzealous or shoving it down people's throats like my sad previous experiences. You have brought together people of different faiths, backgrounds and values - and I am sure, loved and prayed over all of them the way Jesus would. This podcast, and your hearts, are knitting the world one big prayer shawl, enveloping us in His love stitch by stitch.
God Bless you for all your good work.
