Your podcast feed won't work in iTunes. :-( I hope you can get it fixed soon.  I like listening to you guys while I am out running the kids around to taekwondo and stuff.

I had to change the iTunes feed address and iTunes hasn't updated it yet. There is some info here on the KT forum on how to change the feed. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Episode 3 is not showing up yet on iTunes... is it just a delay?  :)

Great! Thanks for the new feed URL. iTunes has been a pain with a couple of my favorite podcasts these days. :-)

Great information on socks. I am so glad that this was our topic as this is one of my favorite things to knit. I am working on my green socks for the March challenge. I am using Knit Picks bare with donegal tweed that I dyed with egg dye - so it is a bright, St. Patrick's Day green. It should make a fun sock. I am still picking a pattern - my yarn is being stubborn about what it wants to be. I have frogged it twice now. Maybe I will have better luck with the next pattern.

I thought I would share my experience with knitting socks on 2 circulars. I have knitted both 2 circs and magic loop (as well as dpns but that is not the topic at hand). The technique is really the same that you use for magic loop except that half of your stitches on a second needle rather than the other side of on long needle. You knit all of one half of the sock on one needle and all of the other half of the sock on the second needle. The mechanics are the same, otherwise. If you can do one technique, the other is not hard to pick up. Generally, I find that I prefer magic loop. The single needle is more portable. I find that the extra needle tips get in my way when I am knitting and I have a nasty habit of grabbing the wrong needle and knitting my stitches off that second needle - really annoying. Of the two, I prefer magic loop. Oddly, if I am knitting an intricate stitch pattern, I usually go back to dpns.

Thanks for sharing all the great patterns. There were several that were new to me that MIGHT just end up as a March sock. Great show. Love the "beautiful feet" scriptures. Makes me want to knit socks ;-)

I ditto everything that Tabitha said. Magic Loop and the two circulars methods are almost exactly the same. However, I prefer two circulars. The loop of the Magic Loop always seems to be in my way, whereas, in the two circ. method, the extra needle points just dangle out of the way. It's just my preference. However, I choose Magic Loop, when I don't have enough needles :). It's nice to have that alternative.

I wonder if using the longer circs would be easier for you with Magic Loop? I just bought some of the new long ones from Knit Picks. :)

Yeah, I have the longer circs. from Knit Picks. I guess it's just different preferences for different people. It really is exactly the same technique though. I'm so glad that I took the time to learn!

Wow I can't wait to see the socks that you knit with your own hand-dyed! I've been playing around with the idea of DPNs, but after knitting my last socks one at a time, I've decided that I can't keep track of them well enough! I'll probably stick to working them at the same time. :)

I need to learn how to knit socks. I am still beginning.

Keep at it! Once you get started, you won't be able to stop! :-) Let us know if you have specific questions.

I have always intended to learn to knit.  Your blog info makes me think maybe I can.  I admire your faith and the fact that you have found a way to pursue both interest.  Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks for the info on Numma numma yarns - my aunt has just given me half a heards worth of wool from her (very soft) angora goats and I have been investigating the best way to use it - I am really a beginner so will probably start off with something easy - a scalf or something!!
