It was fun listening to your fearless knitting. In my own case, I am not smart enough to actually approach a project with fear. Consequently, I frequently get myself in way over my head with knitting. Fortunately, all the mistakes eventually ravel out.
My single biggest problem getting started with a project is the cost of the yarn. I normally have to spend ages trying to find an affordable substitute for the luxury yarn used in the pattern.
